Some ways you can help
Outreach and Community Engagement
- Organize or support community tech awareness events.
- Help with public relations, photography, and storytelling (interviewing students, writing impact stories).
- Conduct internet safety or digital rights workshops.
Fundraising and Proposal Writing
- Assist with grant research, donor mapping, and drafting proposals.
- Help prepare project reports, presentations, and funding appeals.
Website and Social Media Support
- Help update ANM’s website with project stories and news.
- Manage or plan social media campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Create infographics or short videos for outreach.
ICT Training and Support
- Train students and teachers in basic computer literacy (e.g., typing, Microsoft Office, email, internet).
- Support with digital skills training such as coding (Scratch, HTML, Python).
- Help install or configure software on school computer labs.
Technical Support & Maintenance
- Assist with setting up or repairing computers in school labs.
- Troubleshoot and maintain local servers, LAN setups, and educational content like Kolibri or the Reneal system.
- Help document hardware setups and create technical guides.
Educational Content Development
- Curate or create Swahili or English learning resources for offline servers (PDFs, videos, worksheets).
- Translate educational material into Swahili or local contexts.
- Help upload open-source educational content to servers.
Field Visits and School Coordination
- Join ANM staff in visiting schools to monitor projects.
- Collect feedback from teachers/students.
- Help coordinate logistics for equipment delivery and setup.
Partnerships and Research
- Map potential partners (NGOs, schools, donors).
- Conduct impact research or small surveys on ICT use in schools.
- Help write case studies and best practices.
